Timex has refreshed two popular Weekender models with updated proportions and new strap options, while keeping their simple design.

The Weekender New England now comes in a smaller 34mm case, while the New England Chronograph keeps its 40mm size. Both models still use quartz movements and leather straps, keeping the range simple and relatively affordable.

The regular Weekender gets the biggest update, with its case shrinking from 39mm to 34mm for a more compact look on the wrist. A cream dial keeps things simple with full Arabic numerals and luminous hands. For an even cleaner layout, the old inner 24-hour markings have also been removed.

Timex offers the watch in silver or gold-tone finishes depending on the version. A slip-through leather strap makes it easy to change the look, while water resistance is rated to 50 metres for everyday wear and light swimming.

The New England Chronograph gets a more subtle refresh. It keeps the 40mm stainless steel case and sub-dial layout, but new colour combinations and leather straps give it a slightly smarter appearance than the fabric-strapped versions that came before it.

One version combines a black dial with cream markings and a brown leather strap finished with contrast stitching. Luminous hands remain, and quick-release spring bars make swapping the strap straightforward. Like the smaller Weekender, it uses a battery-powered quartz movement.

Pricing varies slightly by finish, with the 34mm Weekender New England starting at $139. The new Chronograph versions are listed at $189.

Neither watch is a major reinvention, with Timex focusing on smaller updates to two existing designs. Buyers can choose a more compact everyday model or a sportier chronograph without moving into luxury-watch pricing.
