Marriott Bonvoy has added RESET Hotel in Twentynine Palms, California, to its Outdoor Collection. The 65-room hotel sits on 180 acres of high desert landscape, just minutes from the north entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. It is the first hotel built from the ground up in Twentynine Palms in more than 15 years, according to Marriott.
RESET is designed to make the desert feel like part of the stay, not just the view outside the window. Each guest room includes a private patio with a Solo Stove fire pit, daybed and stargazing platform, helping blur the line between indoors and out.
The architecture is intentionally restrained, with natural textures and expansive views used to keep attention on the surrounding landscape. Guests still get modern comforts, but the design encourages them to slow down and spend more time outside.
Wellness facilities include a heated saltwater pool, sauna and cold plunge. Guests can also gather around outdoor fire pits or explore the open landscape surrounding the property.
Joshua Tree’s dark skies become a bigger part of the experience after sunset. RESET offers telescope viewing and guided stargazing sessions, giving guests another reason to stay outdoors once the temperature drops.
The hotel has also developed creative residencies and design-focused programming, adding more cultural depth to the Joshua Tree experience.
RESET joins the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy alongside Postcard Cabins and Trailborn properties. The collection focuses on stays built around access to nature and outdoor experiences.
