Jannik Sinner’s Wimbledon-winning Nike shoes are not available to buy, but the retail version gets you closer than most fans might expect. During Wimbledon’s men’s final, Sinner wore a special Player Exclusive version of the Nike GP Challenge 1.5. The shoe was made just for him, which means the exact white and green colourway is not going on general sale.
That will be frustrating for tennis fans, because Sinner’s pair looked especially clean on court. His version also included a custom silver plate on the tongue, nodding to his previous Wimbledon win.
The good news is that the shoe itself is not completely out of reach. Nike’s standard GP Challenge 1.5 is available to buy, and it keeps the main performance features used across the silhouette.
Designed for hard courts, the GP Challenge 1.5 uses an Air Zoom unit in the forefoot to add some snap to the first step. Another Air Zoom unit in the heel is there for support, while a strong plastic plate through the midfoot helps with stability during quick cuts and side-to-side movement.
Nike has also added webbing around the eyestays to help lock the foot in place. Extra rubber around the toe is designed to improve durability, which matters for players who drag their feet during serves or aggressive baseline movement.
Sinner’s version is still the one collectors will want. Player Exclusive shoes are common in elite sport, giving athletes custom colours or details that never reach regular retail shelves.
Even so, the regular GP Challenge 1.5 still gives buyers the same general shape and performance setup. It just skips Sinner’s Wimbledon colourway and that custom tongue detail.
For anyone hoping to recreate the exact look, that is bad news. But if the goal is to wear something close to Sinner’s match-day shoe, Nike’s retail version is probably the closest option available.
