AMBUSH has revealed its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, with designs shaped by movement, utility, and the demands of everyday life. Designed by Yoon Ahn, the collection imagines clothing as a “second environment” for people moving between cities, climates, as well as changing states of mind (via Hypebeast).
This concept is most visible in the collection’s outerwear, where jackets wrap closely around the body and take on an almost shelter-like shape. Layered trousers continue the theme, with repeated panels and overlapping construction, suggesting clothing designed for frequent movement and daily wear.
Workwear influence runs throughout the collection, but AMBUSH keeps it from looking too rigid. Technical closures, reinforced surfaces, and modular details are softened through materials that appear weathered and shaped by movement.
By combining practical construction with more comfortable textures, AMBUSH creates clothing that balances utility with ease. Many of the pieces have a lived-in appearance, as though they have already passed through different places and conditions.
Accessories add a more symbolic element to the collection, with jewellery featuring floral motifs and wolf imagery alongside the practical clothing. Carabiners also appear repeatedly, working as functional fastenings while representing connection and movement.
The colour palette continues the contrast between natural and industrial influences through shades such as oxidised copper, deep cobalt, moss, coal dust, and wet concrete. These muted tones give the clothing a weathered appearance without making the collection look overly rough or unfinished.
While functionality remains central to the SS27 collection, AMBUSH also uses softer fabrics and symbolic details to give each piece more character. Workwear codes are reworked into clothing designed for movement while still retaining the brand’s distinctive visual identity.
Known for transforming hardware and streetwear references into sculptural designs, AMBUSH uses this collection to develop those ideas in a more practical and adaptable direction.
