Working out on holiday might be a little easier to justify when the backdrop is turquoise water and the beaches of Paradise Island.

The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas is hosting Physique 57 in Paradise from October 23 to 25, 2026. According to the Four Seasons, registered resort guests can join complimentary classes led by New York-based Physique 57 instructor Torrey Harada.

Physique 57 turns 20 this year and is best known for combining barre-inspired movement with strength and conditioning. The weekend is open to all fitness levels, and the classes make good use of the resort rather than keeping everyone inside a conventional gym.

Friday starts with a 45-minute Core Pilates class on the Versailles Terrace, followed by a welcome reception. On Saturday, the workout moves to the Beach Deck for Physique 57 Barre sessions at 10:30am and 5pm. Core Pilates returns to the Versailles Terrace at the same time on Sunday.

Around the Physique 57 weekend, the resort is also hosting two separate wellness events with health coach Nora Tobin. Nature Reset runs from October 16 to 19, followed by Holiday Healthy from December 4 to 7, with both including complimentary classes and workshops for registered overnight guests.

Guests who want to keep moving outside the scheduled sessions have plenty of options. The resort has three pools, a beach, water sports and complimentary bicycles. Two padel courts opened earlier this year, joining three Har-Tru tennis courts, and there is also an indoor fitness centre plus an outdoor “jungle gym” surrounded by tropical greenery.

Of course, nobody needs to spend a Bahamas getaway doing Pilates or barre. But if a workout is already part of the plan, doing it beside the ocean sounds a lot better than staring at the wall of a hotel gym.
