Citizen has launched a new Eco-Drive One measuring just 3.88mm thick, squeezing its light-powered technology into a case slimmer than many everyday yoga mats.

The new AR5065-54W pairs those ultra-thin proportions with a 38mm black stainless steel case, forest-green dial and matching bracelet. At less than four millimetres from front to back, it is remarkably slim without looking like an engineering experiment.

Getting the case that thin starts with Citizen’s Calibre 8826 Eco-Drive movement, which measures only 1mm thick. It converts natural or artificial light into energy, removing the need for regular battery changes, and can run for around a year once fully charged.

Citizen keeps the rest of the watch fairly restrained to suit those proportions. Forest green covers the dial, with pink-gold-coloured details adding some warmth against the black case and bracelet. Anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the front, while the integrated stainless steel bracelet closes with a push-button folding clasp.

Create a premium vertical social media thumbnail using ONLY the two supplied reference images. Use the supplied black and dark-orange geometric image as the ONLY background. Preserve its original angular shapes, black negative space, orange highlights, and premium dark appearance. Use the supplied original speaker photo as the ONLY person reference. Preserve the speaker exactly as photographed: original face original smile and expression original eyes original eyeglasses original bald head and facial proportions original skin tone and natural skin texture original light blue shirt original posture original microphone and microphone setup Do NOT regenerate, reinterpret, beautify, reshape, stylize, or alter his face, smile, eyes, glasses, clothing, or body. Remove only the original studio background. Position the speaker prominently on the right side, with his face large and clearly visible. Keep the original friendly expression because it fits the slightly playful simplicity of the advice. Leave approximately the left 45% of the composition as clean negative space for typography. Add exactly this text: MSP AI HACK ASK AI HOW TO RANK Then let it do the work. Typography should match the established thumbnail style: “MSP AI HACK” small condensed uppercase orange “ASK AI” extremely large bold condensed uppercase white “HOW TO RANK” extremely large bold condensed uppercase vivid orange “Then let it do the work.” smaller white supporting text Make ASK AI / HOW TO RANK the immediate focal point. Keep all text left-aligned, highly legible, and safely inside the canvas. Do not allow any letters to overlap the speaker or extend beyond the edge. Optional: add a small, subtle AI/chat symbol near the headline to reinforce the concept. It must remain secondary to the text and speaker. Do not clutter the design. Do not add robots, laptops, stock people, search bars, excessive logos, futuristic brains, random code, charts, or unnecessary graphics. Overall aesthetic: premium MSP business content, sophisticated, minimal, high contrast, black/orange/white color palette, authoritative but conversational. The thumbnail should communicate one idea within one second: If you want more AI visibility, ask AI what you need to do, then use AI to execute it.
Citizen

Its slim profile has not stopped Citizen from adding a few useful everyday features either. Water resistance is rated to 5 bar, or 50 metres, and the complete watch weighs 96g. Mechanically, things stay simple with just hour and minute hands.

The Eco-Drive One line has been around since 2016, built around the idea of making light-powered watches as thin as possible. This latest version gives that formula a slightly sportier look through its angular case and integrated bracelet.

It is also a limited release, though Citizen’s regional websites currently disagree on exactly how limited. The Japanese site lists 180 pieces worldwide, while the US page says 250.

Pricing sits at $3,395 in the US. That is a lot for a two-hand quartz watch, but packing a 1mm light-powered movement into a 3.88mm case gives this Citizen a fairly unusual reason for costing so much.
