Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler is taking wellness out of the spa and onto a secluded mountaintop in British Columbia.
Called Ascend to Stillness, the new experience combines a helicopter flight with guided breathwork and meditation high above the Whistler Valley. Four Seasons says wellness practitioner Chelsea Lyles leads the session, with the surrounding Coast Mountains becoming part of the practice itself.
Getting there is actually part of the experience. Guests leave the valley by helicopter and fly above Whistler’s peaks, glacier-fed valleys and alpine terrain before landing at a remote mountain location accessible only by air.

But once they reach the mountain, the experience becomes much more relaxed. The session starts with sensory grounding, giving guests time to take in their surroundings before moving into guided breathing exercises. Meditation follows, using the open space and quiet of the mountains to create a setting far removed from everyday distractions.
That is what makes the experience different from a more traditional resort wellness treatment. There are no spa rooms or treatment tables involved, with Four Seasons relying on the mountain itself to shape the session.

It also brings together two very different parts of a mountain getaway. The helicopter journey provides the adventure, then the mountaintop session switches the focus to slowing down, breathing and spending some time away from the usual noise.
Four Seasons has not published a fixed price for Ascend to Stillness. For now, guests interested in booking it are asked to contact the resort’s concierge team directly.
Whistler may be better known for skiing, mountain biking and other outdoor adventures, but this offers a more relaxed way to experience the mountains – even if the journey starts by helicopter.
