Hilton has unveiled Ka Laʻi Waikīkī Beach, LXR Hotels & Resorts, following a $100 million transformation of the Honolulu property. The company said the resort is the first LXR Hotels & Resorts property in Hawaii. The redesign reimagines the Waikīkī hotel as a luxury resort shaped by Hawaiian culture, natural beauty, and the spirit of aloha.

The transformation covers public spaces, guest rooms, amenity areas, and outdoor spaces, while keeping the property’s original footprint. Hilton says the redesign was led by Bryan O’Sullivan Studio, with architectural support from Guerin Glass Architects.

Natural materials are central to the new look. Wood, lava stone, marble, and woven textures appear throughout the property, while curated artwork adds a stronger connection to the island’s cultural landscape. The collection includes works by Marco Rountree, Christine Skaggs, and Big Island ceramic artist Suzanne Wang.

The resort now features 238 residential-style studios and suites, with fully equipped kitchens, spa-inspired bathrooms and private lanais. Many rooms offer views of the Pacific Ocean or nearby Fort DeRussy Park.

Spa Ka Laʻi has also been refreshed with treatments rooted in traditional Hawaiian wellness practices and locally inspired ingredients. Outdoor areas have been updated too, with Hilton highlighting the use of alternative materials and preserved design elements.

Food and drink also play a major role in the relaunch, with Executive Chef Yoshi Ohata leading three new dining concepts: Kini Room, Muse Lounge, and Bloom Cafe & Restaurant.

Kini Room is the 86-seat signature restaurant, with a menu shaped by coastal and Pacific Rim influences. Muse Lounge serves as the resort’s cocktail bar, while Bloom Cafe & Restaurant handles breakfast in a garden-inspired setting overlooking Waikīkī.

To mark the debut, Hilton is offering a limited-time Discover Luxury package that includes a $1,000 resort credit. The offer is available at Ka Laʻi Waikīkī Beach, located at 223 Saratoga Road in Honolulu.
