Weave Robotics has opened pre-orders for Isaac 1, a new home robot designed to handle chores like laundry, tidying, and making beds. Weave says the robot is built from the ground up for the home and can now be reserved with a fully refundable $250 deposit. Deliveries to California are expected to begin this fall, with broader US availability following in 2027.

Anyone hoping for a cheap shortcut to avoiding chores will need a serious budget. Isaac 1 costs $7,999 upfront, or $449 per month on Weave’s subscription plan. There is also an optional $99 per month premium membership for buyers who choose the upfront payment option.

For that price, Weave says Isaac 1 can handle two main feature areas. Laundry Flow allows the robot to find and pick up dirty clothes, handle loaded hampers, fold laundry and put clothes away. Daily Reset is aimed at tidying rooms, making beds, fixing pillows and blankets, and putting toys, shoes, and clutter back where they belong.

Isaac 1 is a mobile robot rather than a fixed laundry-folding machine like Isaac 0. It has a wheeled base, soft fabric shells, and a collapsible torso that can extend to human height when needed, then shrink down when it is not working.

According to Weave, the robot works autonomously by default, but it can also receive teleoperation assistance when needed to make sure tasks are completed. It sounds more practical because of that, but it also shows how early this kind of home robotics still is.

The robot is controlled through a companion app and can work on demand or at a scheduled time. Weave also says Isaac 1 will improve over time through software updates and new capabilities.

Specs include up to eight hours of battery life, a two-hour charge time, Wi-Fi connectivity and an 80-inch vertical reach.

It is wildly expensive, and definitely not a mainstream home gadget yet. But if Isaac 1 works as promised, it could be one of the clearest signs that home robots are moving beyond demos and into actual houses.
