Buying Porsche’s new Nürburgring 911 GT3 unlocks the chance to order something else: a matching Porsche Design watch.

The 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring celebrates the famous circuit’s 100th anniversary in 2027, with just 100 cars being offered for the German market. Porsche Design has created an equally limited Chronograph 1 to go with it, available exclusively to buyers of the car.

The watch is based on Porsche Design’s original Chronograph 1, designed by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche in 1972. Its 40.8mm titanium case gets a black titanium-carbide coating, surrounding a matt-black dial with crisp white markings and a historic Nürburgring logo.

A smaller Nürburgring detail appears at nine o’clock, where the running-seconds display uses a green Aero Disc graphic inspired by the forests around the Nordschleife. It adds just enough colour to break up the black-and-white dial.

Even the movement has a connection to the car. Porsche Design’s COSC-certified WERK 01.140 automatic chronograph offers a 48-hour power reserve, with a visible rotor styled after the GT3’s California Gold wheel and black centre-lock hub.

The standard strap carries the theme further with genuine black Porsche interior leather, green textile backing and GT Silver stitching. A green textile hook-and-loop strap is included too, and both can be swapped using Porsche Design’s quick-change system. Each watch is handcrafted in Grenchen, Switzerland.

As for the car, Porsche will offer only 100 examples in Germany, with orders opening in September 2026 and deliveries taking place during the Nürburgring’s anniversary year in 2027.

The matching watch costs €9,950 (via Monochrome). That is hardly cheap, but next to the limited-edition GT3 you need to buy first, it may end up being the easier part of the pairing to justify.
