Ford is making the F-150 Raptor cheaper for 2027, cutting more than $4,000 from the starting price of its high-performance off-road pickup.
According to Car and Driver, the 2027 Raptor will start at $77,790 based on a dealership order guide. That is $4,010 less than the 2026 model, but the lower price comes with less standard equipment.
Among the features no longer included are the 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, heads-up display, heated rear seats and power-adjustable steering column. Buyers can still get them, but they have been moved into the optional 801A Equipment Group.
Adding that package costs $4,120, which changes the picture quite a bit. Equip the 2027 Raptor to roughly match last year’s standard specification and you actually end up paying $10 more than before.
Ford has not taken anything away from the hardware that makes the Raptor a Raptor, though. Its high-output 3.5-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 still produces 450hp and 510lb-ft of torque, sending power through four-wheel drive and the same serious off-road setup.
The lower starting price also puts the Ford just below one of its closest rivals. The 2027 Ram 1500 RHO starts at $78,085, making the Raptor $295 cheaper, although the Ram’s turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six produces a stronger 540hp.
Pricing for the more extreme Raptor R has not been revealed yet. The 720hp version is expected to return for 2027, but Ford has yet to detail what buyers will pay.
So the Raptor really is cheaper if you are happy with the revised standard equipment. Start adding back the features Ford removed, however, and that $4,000 saving disappears almost immediately.
