One of Berlin’s long-running hotels is preparing for a new chapter under Hyatt.
Hotel Palace Berlin is expected to become Hyatt Regency Palace Berlin in early 2027 following a phased renovation. Hyatt says the property will also join World of Hyatt, bringing the loyalty programme to the hotel for the first time.
The location is a clear selling point, with the hotel sitting in Berlin’s City West district opposite Berlin Zoo. Kurfürstendamm and the Europa-Center are both within walking distance too.
There is plenty of room inside as well, with 239 guestrooms and 39 suites. The existing club lounge is expected to become a Regency Club, and the hotel also has the beef45 restaurant, two bars, a spa and swimming pool.
Meetings and events are another big part of the property. Around 2,600 square metres of event space is spread between 18 venues, with the largest gatherings able to accommodate up to 900 people.
As part of the transition, guestrooms and public areas will also receive a redesign and modernisation. Hyatt has not revealed exactly how extensive the changes will be, but says the work will introduce updated social spaces and refreshed accommodation.
Once the switch is complete, it will join Grand Hyatt Berlin, Me and All Hotel Berlin East Side and Lindner Hotel Berlin Ku’damm in Hyatt’s wider Berlin portfolio. It will also become Germany’s fourth Hyatt Regency, alongside properties in Cologne, Düsseldorf and Mainz.
Hyatt currently expects the Palace to join the brand in early 2027, although an exact date has yet to be announced. With Berlin Zoo on the doorstep and Ku’damm just a short walk away, the location already gives the future Hyatt Regency plenty to work with.
