Timberland is looking back to the 1990s for its latest footwear collection, bringing back an archival gray shade across some of its best-known styles.

The new Concrete Collection revives Timberland’s Concrete Gray colourway, which first appeared in the ’90s. Timberland has used the cool gray finish across six men’s and women’s designs, ranging from boots and hiking shoes to clogs and platform boat shoes.

Leading the men’s range is the Heritage 6-Inch Waterproof Boot, finished entirely in the returning Concrete shade. It keeps the rugged, weather-ready construction of the original, but the muted gray gives it a very different look from the usual wheat version.

The Euro Hiker also gets the Concrete treatment, combining an EVA footbed and midsole with a steel shank for support and a rubber outsole for grip. A Heritage Clog completes the men’s line-up with a premium leather upper, fabric lining and removable anti-fatigue footbed.

Women get three styles of their own, including the Stone Street Platform Boat Shoe with its chunky sole and classic boat-shoe shape. Timberland has also updated the Stone Street Platform 6-Inch Boot in gray, adding a padded leather collar, leather laces and a memory foam footbed.

Completing the collection is the Women’s Premium Convertible Clog, which has a movable backstrap so it can be worn in more than one way.

US prices range from $140 to $220. The Stone Street Platform Boat Shoe sits at the lower end, while the Heritage 6-Inch Waterproof Boot is the most expensive option.

The Concrete Collection is available now, giving fans of Timberland’s ’90s archive a chance to revisit the colourway in a much wider range of styles.
