Jeep’s electric off-roader is almost ready for buyers, and the price can climb very quickly once options are added. According to Jeep’s official Build & Price tool, the 2026 Jeep Recon is now available to configure. For its first model year, the electric SUV is only offered in Trail Rated Moab trim, starting at $68,990 including destination.
That is already a high starting point, but the final figure gets even steeper. A fully loaded Recon comes in at just under $77,000 before destination. Add Jeep’s $1,995 destination charge, and the total moves past $78,000.
Jeep previously announced the 2026 Recon as its all-electric, Trail Rated SUV, with 650 horsepower, 620 lb-ft of torque, and rugged off-road hardware. It is designed to bring proper Jeep capability to an EV, rather than just looking like an off-roader.
For 2026, the options list is fairly limited. Buyers can choose from eight exterior colours, including Bright White, Hydro Blue, Red Hot, Ceramic Gray, Diamond Black Crystal, and Joose. Some colours are free, while others add between $595 and $995.
A black roof costs another $995, while optional 18-inch aluminium wheels add $500. Other extras include additional mirrors for doorless driving, Mopar rock rails and paint protection film.
Inside, the Recon offers Global Black or Joshua Tree interior colours. A $1,995 Comfort Package adds ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, an interior camera, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Sky One-Touch power top also costs $1,995.
Jeep also offers a Trailer-Tow Group, although towing may not be the Recon’s strongest selling point. The Moab trim is EPA-rated at 222 miles of range, which is fairly modest for an electric SUV in this price range.
The Recon is still cheaper than something like a GMC Hummer EV, but it is not exactly an affordable electric Jeep. With a high entry price and limited range, Jeep’s rugged EV may have a tough job winning over buyers.
