Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea has unveiled Kai Holo Spa, a new wellness space inspired by the island’s landscape and the movement of water. Four Seasons says its design follows water’s journey across Maui while combining traditional treatments with modern wellness technology.

The name Kai Holo translates to “flowing tide” in Hawaiian and shapes the wider experience. Guests move through a series of spaces, treatments and temperature changes designed to reflect the island’s natural rhythm.

A major feature is the aquathermal centre, which draws inspiration from water travelling from the mountains to the sea. It includes a vitality pool, therapeutic hot pool and cold plunge, along with steam and sauna facilities.

References to Maui’s landscape continue throughout the interior. A black granite wall recalls the island’s volcanic terrain, while softly lit pathways and cascading water create a calmer setting.

Light and colour have also been used to support relaxation and different energy levels throughout the day. Four Seasons says these elements were chosen with circadian rhythms in mind.

The treatment menu introduces a series of Pacific Journeys rituals rooted in local ingredients and traditions. Its signature oceanside treatment includes a black sea-salt foot soak, a resort-harvested honey and sugar polish, kukui oil massage and a scalp ritual.

Other options include the Piko Mālama Wahine ritual, the Spirulina and Astaxanthin Ocean Detox Body Ritual and the Queen’s Garden Fern Ritual. The latter uses native fern oil sourced from Kauai alongside island botanicals.

Kai Holo Spa also connects to a redesigned longevity centre created through the resort’s partnership with Next|Health. Services include biomarker testing, IV therapy and NAD+ treatments, with a hyperbaric chamber also part of the wider offering.

A refreshed fitness centre and infrared Movement Studio complete the update. The new spa gives guests more ways to unwind while keeping the experience closely tied to Maui’s natural setting.
